The new Descent Into Maelstrom's album will be titled "Iconoclasm", a new concept based this time on painting art. Each track will be inspired from a painting by various artists, including Beksinski, Goya, Bruegel and the italian Nicola Samorí. The band decided to change its style in order to play a kind of music they named "Dodecaphonic Metal", mixing dodecaponic music (introduced by Schoenberg in the early 1900s) and metal, without turning their back to the melodic death metal music of their beginnings. Recently bassist Michele Augello (ex Agony Face) joined the band: his debut on stage is scheduled for November 10, 2017 at "The One" in Cassano d'Adda (Milan, Italy) and he will be actively involved in the line-up for the creation of "Iconoclasm".
