Singer/guitarist Mirko Di Bella states: “Tight rhythms, mid-tempo pace, haunting synths, liturgical atmospheres. The vision of a track like this had hovered in my mind for quite some time. Once the sonic direction was clear, the song almost wrote itself. During our formative years, we receive many “imprintings” that will mark us for the rest of our lives; among mine, Death SS during the Do What Thou Wilt era — as well as the subsequent works — holds a special place. Unholy Communion is my personal declaration of love to those immortal sounds, heavy with mystery and esotericism.

The song enacts a sulphurous eucharist, inspired by the principles of occultist satanism and shaped by the motifs of the horror genre, the echoes of which also reverberate in the aesthetics of the music video. It’s the first song written for the project: the cornerstone on which the sound of Grimorio was built.”
