Logic Il Logic Records & Burning Minds Music Group are glad to announce that “XII The Hangman,” second single taken from Grimorio's debut album “On The Path Of The Morning Star,” is now available online for streaming. The release is accompanied by an official lyric video.

Guitarist Christian Balsamo states: “The track opens with a heavy riff that supports an organ imbued with the forces of chaos. The listener is projected into an upside-down world — just like the Hanged Man. I alternated tighter riffs with more spacious sections to mirror the symbolic complexity of Arcanum XII, closing with an acoustic reprise of the chorus theme. Lyrically, I drew inspiration from the tarot deck of Oswald Wirth, one of the most renowned esotericists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In particular, the Hanged Man is one of the cards I find most fascinating, and its symbolism inspired me while writing the lyrics for “XII The Hangman.” To give the piece a more dynamic feel, I imagined a short gothic/horror tale in which an old fortune-teller offers a card reading to the narrator/protagonist. If all of this makes you think of King Diamond… well, that’s exactly what I was going for! The specter of King — his theatrical and sulfurous aura — haunts the entire conception of the track, from its atmosphere to its musical shifts. And it couldn’t be otherwise, since his music has played, and still plays, relentlessly in my stereo for years”.
